Video Captioning

VidGrid (formerly iLOS)

VidGrid offers two types of captioning, machine captioning and professional (human) captioning, as part of our Lake Superior College contract.  Both options will add captions to your videos and create subtitles for you through this simple process.  Professional (human) captioning is a paid service, LSC has 5,000 captioning credits per year that are shared across campus.  Machine captioning is not as accurate, but you have unlimited access to this option.  You’ll need to review your captions for accuracy no matter which captioning process you select.

MediaSpace

MediaSpace offers built in speech recognition software that users need to manually edit and correct.

Youtube

Youtube also offers in speech recognition software that users need to manually edit and correct.
