PowerPoint Presentation

  • Font Size at least 28 – 32 point font
  • If viewed on a projector the contrast needs to be even stronger than on paper
  • Do not use color as the only way to convey content
  • Use the Microsoft PowerPoint templates and text boxes
  • Review the outline panel to ensure the content on the slides is in logical order
  • Alt Text on images or be sure to supply the image information within the content
  • Descriptive Hyperlinks
  • Avoid slide transitions
  • Use simple language
  • Always check the reading order of text boxes
  • Caption embedded video
  • Check to be sure player controls are accessible
  • Transcript audio content
  • Only brief simple animations and be sure they do not distract from the message
