Thanks so much to my friend Beth Austin at UWS for introducing me to a website called Rubistar (http://rubistar.4teachers.org/). There are preset rubrics on all kinds of subjects and assignments which you can customize, print, and download in excel format. Once I have the rubrics written, this should save much time!

Hello All!
Welcome to my sabbatical blog. For the next four months, I will be researching best practices in creating grading rubrics, creating some rubrics to use and share with peers, researching publishing options for poetry and fiction (specifically children’s fiction), and writing and revising my own creative works.
This blog will be a summary of my research and adventure and maybe bits and pieces of my writing as well.
Enjoy.
