This time dad decided to take off the training wheels..
One of the hardest things i think a parent has to do is teach their childeren that not everything is “given” to them. I believe this statement reflects that idea.
I think what the writer is trying to relay as his thesis is that making the right choices in life will help him to achieve the goals he sets for himself

It is hard to make the correct choices. Not having kids of my own, I can only imagine how hard it would be to pass on life helping information to children. I agree that information for the next generation is vital. Good work.
