Jody Ondich –
Carly Beckwith –

There will be several types of training offered throughout the year:

  • Information sessions – hear about the software, tools, or features in a 20-minute or 50-minute format.
  • Open labs – come any time during the 2-hour block with your questions on the session’s topic.
    • The session topics include Accessible Documents, D2L, Microsoft Office/365, video, and technology in general.
  • Hands-on sessions – you’ll learn about the software, tools, or features while working on your own courses.
  • Panel or round table discussions – we’ll talk as a group about things we’ve experienced or would like help with. Some sessions will have a panel leading talks about specific topics and others will be open dialog.
    • The Teaching and Technology panel and round table sessions will be a partnership between the subject matter experts (SMEs), the campus trainer, and Center for Faculty Innovation.

At the start of each semester, a full training schedule will be emailed to faculty and staff on campus.  Later, an email with training session invitations will be sent at the end of the month for the next month’s training opportunities.  You’ll be able to add them to your calendar by clicking on the invitation attachment for the sessions you’d like to attend.
