Facilities

LSC’s five biology and environmental science laboratories are located in the C and H buildings on the main campus. Labs are fully equipped with models and specimens for the study of anatomy and physiology, thermal cyclers and electrophoresis equipment for molecular biology, microscopes and incubators  for microbiology, and the full complement of supplies and equipment for other general biology and environmental science classes.

Students interested in working in the biology and environmental science laboratories should contact the Science Lab Coordinator.

Beautiful Miller Creek runs through the Lake Superior College Campus. Biology instructors Glenn Merrick and David Israel have worked along with other LSC faculty and staff to develop a  hiking trail along the creek.  An interpretive guide describing the biology and ecology of the stream is found here or on the LSC Sustainability web pages.

General biology, ecology, and environmental science courses use the stream, trails and campus grounds as an extension of our lab spaces.
