The LSC campus will kick off the national “I Love to Read” month on Wed., Feb. 1 with a number of activities in the Atrium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., including making Valentines for vets, an open mic, book giveaways and more.
This year’s “One Campus, One Book” title, You Know When the Men Are Gone by Siobhan Fallon, is a collection of interconnected stories relating the experiences of Fort Hood, Texas military families.
Fallon lived at Fort Hood while her husband was deployed to Iraq for two tours of duty. She earned her MFA at the New School in New York City and now lives with her family near the American Embassy in Amman, Jordan.
