Kelli Hallsten

Kelli Hallsten, a native of Duluth, spent six years at St. Cloud State University. While there, she earned a BA in Literature and Writing and an MA in Rhetoric and Applied Writing while working as a tutor and assistant director of the writing center and teaching Composition I. She spent her first two years out of school teaching at Northland College in East Grand Forks, MN, before returning to her native Duluth in 2005 to teach at Lake Superior College. She’s passionate about her city and can drone on and on about the lakers and salties you see coming in and out of the harbor and where, exactly, the West End ends and West Duluth begins. At LSC, Kelli is passionate about showing students how to get what’s in the brain down on the page and settling, once and for all, the difference between “effect” and “affect.”
